Apr. 25—Rebuilding Together Solano County will once again be distributing Disaster Safe at Home Kits for veterans, active military and other military families in
The kits will be distributed on Friday from
—An Earthquake 4-1 Tool (gas turnoff, water turnoff, prybar and glass breaker)
—LED Lantern
—Cell Phone Charger (solar / hand-crank)
—a fire blanket
—Kaiser Permanente fleece blanket
—plug-in night lights
—emergency blanket
—glow sticks
—face shield
—safety glasses
—work gloves
—emergency whistle
—hand sanitizer and soap
—face masks
—a set of trash bags

The distribution comes in sponsorship with Solano County Veterans Services,
RTSC is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to allowing low-income veteran, senior and disabled residents the ability to remain in their home — safely and with dignity. Its mission is to provide safe and healthy homes, revitalize communities and rebuild lives.

In addition, RTSC has installed more than 4,810 smoke and 2,900 carbon monoxide alarms for low-income mobile home residents. The organization has also distributed more than 1,800 Safe at Home Kits.
