BRIEF: Saratoga County moves veterans services office

The Daily Gazette - 10/9/2017

Oct. 09--MILTON -- The Saratoga County Veterans Service Agency offices have moved to a new location at 2144 Route 50 (Doubleday Avenue) in Milton.

The office, which provides a variety of services to 18,000 military veterans living in the county, moved last week from a spot in the county office building at 152 W. High St., Ballston Spa, to the new location, just north of the village.

The new location has more space and will allow for enhanced programs and services, county officials said. It also includes a resource center where veterans can use a work station to access online Department of Veterans Affairs programs, request records or update resumes.

"As a veteran, I understand the importance of access to high-quality services for our nation's service members," said Stillwater Supervisor Ed Kinowski, chairman of the Board of Supervisors. "This is a great improvement for our county's veterans, and we're proud that we can offer them this new space to seek assistance."
