BRIEF: North Range Behavioral Health offers free mental health first aid training

Aug. 19--North Range Behavioral Health will offer mental health first aid trainings free and open to the public. There is an adult course and a youth course.

The adult course is for anyone 18 years and older who wants to learn how to help a person who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis or problem. The youth course is designed to teach adults who interact with adolescents how to help when that adolescent experiences a mental health or substance use crisis or problem.

Courses will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.Aug. 24 at the Littler Prevention Campus, 2350 3rd St. Road, in Greeley, Oct. 6 at 330 Park Ave. in Fort Lupton and Oct. 19 at the Littler Prevention Campus.

Each class will have a different focus, including mental health first aid to members of the military, veterans and their families, adults and older adults, respectively.
